The Greats

Today we got together with Amy and Missy and all the kiddos at Grandma and Grandpa Huggins' house. What seems like such a simple Thursday get-together is such an incredible blessing to all of us! For these precious babies to know their Grandma and Grandpa Great is so wonderful! One of my favorite memories of Grandma Huggins is when she came to the lake with me once when it was only Will. He was our first, and he was their first Great. Will got super fussy, and I was ready to pull over to calm him down, but Grandma started singing to him, and he calmed down, then fell asleep for the rest of the way. Now she rocks my third baby and sings to her until she falls asleep. And even though it might hurt her shoulder to hold her for hours she still does it, denying that it hurts a bit! We have such a great bunch of "Greats"!!

LOVE

Eight years ago Ryan and I were getting married! It was a truly perfect day. The wedding was great with no problems. We enjoyed every minute of it! The reception was still, to this day, the best one I've been to! Dad gave the greatest speech I've ever heard, everyone drank, danced, drank, ate, drank, talked, and drank some more! (I'm pretty sure Dad had to talk to the wedding coordinator about getting another keg and some more wine!!!)
It was a happy ending to a rough year. We had gone through a ton even before we were married! We built our first home, I taught my first year of third grade, we planned a wonderful wedding, and Mom got sick. The shock of watching my otherwise healthy 43 year old mom suffer a stroke, then suffer mini strokes and endure multiple surgeries was gut-wrenching. Celebrating our wedding always helps me to remember the love I have always witnessed from my parents, and the verse from 1st Corinthians 13. No matter what heartache, trouble, or struggles your endure, true love will always prevail.
Now we are no longer just a married couple, but a family! We have three beautiful, healthy children. They bring us the greatest joy each and every day. They show us 1st Corinthians 13 each and every day! We are so very blessed to have each other and these children we are blessed to raise!

Livi Lea

Summer Breeze!
Smiley!
It is just unbelievable that Livi has been here for 2 months already! She is just such a doll baby! She has been carted around to swim lessons, soccer games, baseball games, dance lessons, pool trips, lake trips, and shopping trips. She just loves to watch her big brother and sister, and they love her to pieces, too! Livi is really starting to "talk" to us with her sweet coos. She has the sweetest smile with her cute chubby cheeks and dimples. We were so excited to see that she was 12lb. 9oz. and 23 1/2 inches at her 2 month check up (90th %ile for each). She did great even though she had to have 3 yucky shots! Aside from wanting to eat and being tired, Livi doesn't fuss. When it's bed time it's just a bath, bottle and down to bed, usually wide awake! She typically does an 8 hour stretch, then 4 after that, but we've had a few 10 hour stretches, which are just blissful! We have another month of summer to enjoy our lazy days of sleeping in and soaking up the sun until it's back to school for all of us. We will love every moment of it!!
