SO Thankful

After seeing this picture, are there even words? I mean, now grateful can you be? We celebrated not only Thanksgiving, but Grandpa's 82nd birthday! Sam was giving Grandpa Great a birthday hug here.
Here are a couple of pics of the kids and their forte's of the holiday season. Sammy is the baker/taste-tester. She had a ball making cheesecake squares with me on Thursday morning. From melting the chocolate, to coating the cheesecake squares, to tasting them, she was all about it!

Will was the expert ornament-hanger! He just had a lot more time and patience to ask about each and every ornament. I just love these pictures because you can see how serious he was about decorating the tree, but also how they were all hung in clumps.

And here's the final product! Now we are daily answering "is it Christmas?" "Is it winter time?" Or when we have to give our little reminders, we ask, "Who's watching?", and they say "Santa is watching and Jesus is watching." And the final sweet anecdote for now, Will is just mesmorized that Jesus was born in a manger and slept on hay. Our manger scene is within their reach, and when Sammy helped set it up, she said "It's a whole family!" Sometimes she pretends to feed the baby Jesus, too! Will just keeps saying, "It's going to be Jesus' birthday soon!" Thank God we have them to remind us of the reason for the season! My mom got me a little sign that says
"The Magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in His presence."
